Optional: nuts, peanut butter chips, dried fruits, candy pieces.

Directions

  1. Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees.

  2. Prepare a baking pan (8x 8, or 8x12); lightly grease pan. For easier removal of brownies from pan, line the pan with parchment paper.

  3. In a bowl, add melted butter, oil, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Whisk to combine.

  4. Adds the Eggs and vanilla to butter and sugar mixture. Beat until completely mixed. Takes about one minute.

  5. Add Flour, Cocoa Powder, and Salt. Gently mix the dry ingredients by “folding” them in. Mix until combined. DO not overmix.

  6. Add ¾ Cup of the chocolate chips into the brownie batter. Add any optional filling ingredients also.

  7. Pour the brownie batter into the lightly greased pan, smooth out. Take the remaining ¼ cup of chocolate chips and Sprinkle on top.

  8. Place in oven, bake for 25-40 minutes. This depends on how fudgy you would like the brownies to be. 25-30 minutes for fudgy, 35-40 minutes for well done.

  9. Cool for 15-20 minutes. Brownies will residually cook once removed from oven.
