Cinnamon Sweet Rolls

6 Apples

(Any type can be used for different flavors)

3 Tbl Sugar

2 tsp Cinnamon

2 tsp Lemon Juice

¾ Cup Flour

1 Cup Brown Sugar

1 Cup Old Fashioned Oats

½ Cup (1 Stick) Butter – Diced into Cubes

¼ tsp Salt

  1. Preheat Oven to 350 Degrees. Prepare an 8-inch Pie Plate or 8 x 8 Pan with non-stick spray or butter.

  2. Peel, and Chop Apples into slices.

  3. In a Mixing Bowl, combine the chopped apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Stir until all apples are thoroughly coated with cinnamon and sugar.

  4. In a separate mixing bowl, add flour, brown sugar, and oats. Mix together using a wooden spoon (or similar tool).

  5. Add the cubed butter to the flour/sugar mixture. Using a pastry blender, cut the butter into the mixture until clumps begin to form and butter is immersed. Small pea-sized crumbles should be left. (Tip: Using hands with gloves may combine the butter into the flour mixture faster).

  6. Add the Apple Mixture to the baking dish. Spread the apples out evenly.

  7. Spread the flour/sugar mixture over top of the apples. Gently smooth it out evenly.

  8. Bake in oven for 45-50 minutes. The Apple Crisp should be golden brown, and bubbly around the edges.

  9. Optional: Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream or Whipped Cream!
