Shrimp & Grits

Ingredients

1 Cup Uncooked Grits

3 Cups Chicken Broth

½ tsp Salt

½ tsp Black Pepper

1 Cup Cheddar Cheese

1 Pound of Medium Shrimp

1 Tbl Lemon Juice

Salt & Pepper to Taste

Fresh Parsley

 

Instructions

  1. Cook grits to package instruction Or bring chicken broth to boil. Add grits, stir occasionally until they become thick (takes about 4-5 minutes). Once cooked, remove the grits from heat, add salt, pepper, and cheddar cheese. Keep warm for serving.

  2. Using a skillet, cook shrimp over medium heat. Stir frequently. The shrimp will take 3-4 minutes to cook. Add lemon juice and salt and pepper.

  3. Serving: Scoop grits into bowl of choice. Add shrimp on top. Finish with fresh parsley.
